When you read the Namor comics you will realize he is not all bad, but he also isn’t always so great either. He’s had a long-standing feud with his cousin, which got really ugly when they fought over who would rule Atlantis. In the end, Namor won and became King of Atlantis but he soon had to evacuate it due to increased pollution levels.
Namor Comics, The Original Mutant: An article about how Namor is not just some Atlantean playboy. Namor is the first mutant on Earth and the true heir to Atlantis. He’s been around since the 1930s and has been a big player in Marvel Comics ever since!
Is Namor a hero or villain
Namor comics are similar to Deadpool in that he is not always a hero and has a tendency to be more of an antihero. He can do things that are good, but he also does things that are bad. Sometimes he’s a downright villain.
When Namor came of age, he sought the hand of a princess and won her heart. What she didn’t know though, was that Namor had secretly fallen in love with someone else: Atlantean girl Dorma. Dorma was to be Namor’s queen, but he could never do that without telling her the truth and breaking people’s hearts in the process, so he stayed with his wife instead.
He worked hard to build a better Atlantean nation where people were happy, pollution-free and safe. And then a guy named Attuma came along.
Attuma was known as the Scourge of the Seven Seas, and he hated Namor with a passion. He challenged him to single combat, but Namor refused fearing that their fight could destroy Atlantis. So instead he went up against Attuma’s army by himself and won, sacrificing his life to save his beloved people.
Namor was brought back to life because he is the rightful heir to Atlantis, but was incensed that his people had been controlled by Attuma’s forces since he’d died. The Atlanteans were ordered from exile and Namor went to reclaim his throne alone.
When Namor fought with Attuma, he lost an arm. Then Atlantean sorceress called the Lady of the Lake appeared and gave him a new one. She said that it was magic, but actually it was some kind of genetic mutation that would give Namor powers beyond those of any normal human or Atlantean.
Namor’s powers were so great, that the ocean started to rebel against him. He used his abilities to try and calm things down, but then he got into a tussle with an undersea monster called Leviathan. That was a mistake since Namor was fighting underwater out of desperation, where his powers were weakened. So Leviathan defeated Namor and ate him!
Namor was rescued by the Lady of the Lake who took him to her home, Avalon. There he was taught magic and got his scaly body armor and trident back too.
When he returned to Atlantis, Namor found that things had changed a lot. It was under threat from Attuma again, but now there were people in it who were corrupted by pollution from the outside world. Namor struck out to destroy it, but as he left Atlantis, his old enemy Attuma attacked it, using sorcery to turn people against him. Namor returned in time to stop them, and then took a new ally called Dorma and some Atlantean Warriors with him back to Avalon.
From there, Namor got bored and decided to attack other areas of the world. So he went to New York City. There his fight with American Agent ended in a draw, although both men were beaten nearly to death as a result. He was then captured by the United States government and held at the Savage Land for months before being freed by Hulk.
Namor has continued to fight evil, but not always in the way you might think he would. He once invaded and conquered Atlantis from within with an army of mutants!
He also wagered his kingdom against Wakanda’s for a chance to win their people as allies, but that didn’t go so well.
Namor has also had a long-standing rivalry with his cousin. They’ve fought over who would rule Atlantis, and when they teamed up to fight against the Avengers, things got even uglier between them.
Recently Namor attacked Wakanda for no apparent reason other than it gave him something to do.
What are Namor Powers
Namor has superhuman strength and endurance. He has the ability to fly and breath underwater, see well in any condition (including total darkness), swim at speeds of 20 knots per hour, and speak Atlantean as well as any language he hears. He can also communicate telepathically with sea mammals and birds. Namor’s hands have a suction-cup like grip that allows him to create a vacuum seal on anything he touches. His left hand has an extra suction-cup at the palm.
In the Namor comics he also wears a suit of body armor that protects his throat and insulates him from extreme temperatures as well as pressure changes when traveling undersea.
He wields a trident similar to Poseidon’s, which he uses in water battles and can be thrown like a javelin. It can split into smaller tridents and has a telepathically controlled magnetic clip for holding things (like guns) to the end of it. Namor also possesses a mystic ring that allows him to conjure up storms at sea or create energy constructs, such as giant hands or cages from magic lightning.
Namor has also been an ally to the Avengers, and received a warning from his ancestors in dreams that allowed him and the other Illuminati members save the whole world from destruction.
How old is Namor the Submariner
Namor is an Atlantean mutant who first appeared in 1939. He is the son of Princess Fen and Emperor Thakorr, two members of the Surface-dwelling royal family of Atlantis. Namor left Atlantis when he was only ten years old after his father banished him for his violent behavior and defiance against his father’s wishes to make peace with earth. So based on how long ago his first appearance was around a hundred years ago I would say he is OLD!
Who is Namor’s enemy
Namor’s enemy is Attuma. They’ve been enemies ever since the 1940s and have fought many battles over who would rule Atlantis. The first time they fought was when Namor was still a young prince, but Attuma easily defeated him with his powerful magics.
They’ve fought many more times since, and Attuma has always lost.
Another enemy of Namor’s is the Fantastic Four who he has fought several times over his career. The first time was when he attacked New York City. Reed Richards used chemicals to make his body water-logged, so that it would sink him and take him back to Atlantis. Namor later returned to New York City and captured the Invisible Girl, forcing Reed Richards to cure him for her return. He returned again several times over the years seeking revenge against the Fantastic Four, but was defeated each time.
Through the Namor comics he has had many other enemies to include but not limited to Quicksilver, Iron Man, Hulk, Silver Surfer and Blank Panther.
Can Namor beat Black Panther
Namor will always think every day that he’s a true mutant. He believes that he should be the rule of Atlantis. Namor also thinks that he is above Black Panther. Namor will try to kill Black Panther on sight.
Black Panther can use a vibranium shield that absorbs kinetic energy up to 100 tons. He also has super strength, speed, agility and reflexes from his suit of Vibranium armor. He also has minimal invulnerability due to the armor’s nature and is capable of absorbing vibrations.
Namor is a mutant who was born with superhuman strength, endurance, and durability that allows him to submerge indefinitely without suffering any ill effects. He can expel water through his gills, swim at speeds of up to twenty knots per hour (twenty-one miles per hour) while traveling in the air at 150 miles per hour. He can survive at any depth as long as he can breathe, and he has demonstrated various superhuman combat abilities underwater.
He is also a genius in the field of marine engineering with years of experience at both surface and underwater conditions. Namor possesses tremendous amounts of stamina that allow him to hold his breath for an undetermined amount of time. He is highly skilled in hand-to-hand combat with the addition of excellent swimming skills to take down his opponents.
In the end though to be comic accurate Blank Panther has defeated Namor.
Is Namor an inhuman
Namor is not an inhuman, but the way that he talks does make it sound like he’s from another world. He has been around for a long time and still has some of the same traits as when he was younger. All of this makes people think that they are aliens. But Namor is not an inhuman, just Atlantean royalty.
Why did Namor destroy Wakanda
In the Namor comics, he destroyed the capital of Wakanda because he believed that the people here were hiding information from him about his parents. Although Namor didn’t know what was really going on, he mistakenly thought that T’Challa was holding back a wealth of knowledge about his parents. Despite pleas from Black Panther to stay away and let them try to find out more before taking any action, Namor sends an attack destroying parts of the city with beams of energy and explosives.
Namor never wanted to hurt anyone, but since he didn’t know what was going on in Wakanda at the time all he knew was that Black Panther knew more about his parents and kept it from him. The attack destroyed many buildings in T’Challa’s capital city and killed hundreds of people.
Is Namor stronger than Hulk
Namor is stronger than Hulk. His strength level in the comics is 120 tons. Marvel says that he is stronger than Hulk because he has a mutation that makes him a freak of nature.
Is Namor Omega level
The Namor comics show how strong he is and makes you wonder where he ranks against other Mutants. The short answer is that Namor is not an Omega Level Mutant. He is an Alpha Level Mutant. His mutation is that he can survive indefinitely underwater and possesses superhuman strength.
Is Namor an eternal
Namor is not an Eternal, but he does have a superpower that makes him feel like he is. He is also not immortal, but he was born a mutant that gives him power similar to the Eternals. He also has superhuman strength and durability that allow him to survive almost anything.
Who came first Aquaman or Namor
It’s a question that has long plagued superhero nerds. The answer is Namor (by two months). He was created by Bill Everett and first appeared in Marvel Comics #1 in 1939 whereas Aquaman didn’t hit the big time until 1941 when he debuted in More Fun Comics #73.
Conclusion
Namor comics have been around for what seems like forever. He is also a genius in the field of marine engineering with years of experience in both surface and underwater conditions. Namor possesses tremendous amounts of stamina that allow him to hold his breath for an undetermined amount of time. He is highly skilled in hand-to-hand combat with the addition of excellent swimming skills to take down his opponents. In theory, though Blank Panther has defeated Namor.
